This galaxy - NGC 3310 - is forming star clusters which contain around a million stars each. There are several hundred such star clusters within this galaxy. These clusters are bright blue - young stars are blue.

This galaxy is called a starburst galaxy. Such galaxies create many stars at a relatively quick rate. NGC 3310 is around 59 million light-years from Earth.
